this is where I would start, pretty good tutorial and if you keep looking there
are some videos as well.

Be warned, it has a steep learning curve to setup so alot yourself some time to get used to
how tsm works, and what it can and can't do

good luck.

Well I gotta say I love auctionator cause all I have to do to check for undercuts now is click a button! Awesome! Now I gotta get TSM working... grrrrrrrrrrr.... Slowly but surely posting will take less and less time and it will be much less of a hassle thanks.

What is the fallback price for I'm confused and all the places I looked to find the answer lead me to believe that this is a stupid redundent option. Also, what happens when no one is posting your item in the AH how do you set the price in TSM? I see no option for that.

my limited understanding is that your fallback price is the price your product will revert to when there is no other competition on the auction house. It's essentially the same as that feature built into Auctioneer where it will got to (default) 175% in the same scenario.

So far I am making about 5k a day. That obviously pales to comparision to what some of you do, however, that is more gold than I have ever made in a single day. I can thank TSM and all the other addons I use for that as well as the guy who posted the link on how to use TSM, thanks again. Right now the plan to expand my buisness is to start selling more red gems per day (I currently only sell 8 because I know I can resupply that real quick) and also start actually selling flasks and potions seeing how I do have an alchemist/herbalist and it would be silly if I didn't at least try and utilize that. Another thing I could do is find out if any more gems sell good on a daily basis but I think I found all the ones that sell already but oh well what does it hurt to try some more?

5k a day is nothing to sneeze at. your probably making more than many are reading these forums. Just look to invest that or to save for when MOP hits

You might look at the section on speculation to get an idea of what you could be storing back for when the next expansion hits. It's those times that your income will explode if your supplying the right materials at the right time.

Thanks I've looked at the speculation thread and decided to keep mining on my main so that when I level him I don't have to stop and go back and level another miner to get mining nodes to level his professions at the launch of MoP. I did however run into a sort of a problem. After looking at my auctions at beancounter I've noticed that two jewelcrafters are buying some of my gems at prices where I had to go low cause everyone else was posting very low that day. I havn't been bothering to check the norm price lately because of TSM so I don't know how long a high price for those items will hold at any given day. Should I do something about it?

Jewelcrafting is a very volatile market right now. you have multiple players you are going to have undercutters, with undercutters you are going to have prices drop, sometimes they will drop from a reasonable price down to very low pricing in a matter of hours.

Those are the ones that have the highest risk/reward. Check to see if these two that are buying your gems are listing continually your gems, or if they are buying them for their guild. I would gues it is the latter. If they are relisting your gems you have one of two options. If we are talking a matter of 10-20g profit, then continual to feed them and let them take the extra risk of them not selling or selling at lower prices. Or you can just continual to list and then cancel/relist if your item gets too far undercut. when you relist all you are losing is your posting fee (50s is the average, it can add up.

which markets are you being undercut in? Inferno's are going to be the worst for undercutting because everyone bought that pattern first, and it tends to get purchased to best (stat stacking in gear ftw) so you might need to plot out some more patterns that are less agressively undercut. At this late in the game, it's going to be more difficult. But it's good your looking at beancounter to get more information. Use Undermine journal to go ahead and keep doing your research when needed.

Actually it's the ember topaz cuts that get undercutted the most for me mainly because it takes longer for them to sell then the inferno rubies. Maybe one of the JC's that bought my low listed gems bought it for a guildie but I"m sure the other one bought my things with the intention to wait for people to stop posting that paticular gem and set it at his favorite price, 495g. I know at that point if it costs that much someone has to be really desperate to buy it cause most of the time most people will just buy the raw uncut gem and get someone to cut it for them either by asking in trade or asking in guild. I dunno know though this guy who try's to kinda control certain gem markets who resets the price at around 495g must have an incentive for doing it so I should assume he is successful sometimes.

I have quite a bit of weeks of data on market watcher and learned that those gem cuts that the two JC's bought me out sometimes in gradually go down in price considerably after someone tries to reset the market on that gem. I guess that is the same for most gems I guess. Those darn undercutters.

Today someone undercut a lot of my ember topaz cuts for a huge amount and brought down the prices a great deal and I think this will cut into my profits :( This inspires me to start testing the waters in the flask and potion market cause now I have to prepare for days where someone does a dirty rotten thing like that. I just want to know, anyone know the reasoning behind why someone will undercut you for over 50g, or even 100g? Whats the point?
