I have been in the glyph market for about 3 months now and everything has been going smooth. Now I have every glyph you can make except for a few from the book of glyph mastery.

I always have 3 of each glyph on the auction house with a threshold of 20g and fallback of 350g. There is really only one other person on the server that is in real competition with me (as in he posts all glyphs like I do 3 of each.) His fallback price was set to 150g for the last 3 months that I have been doing glyphs. Now today he has decided to list every single glyph with a 30g fallback.

I'm not sure whether or not I should just wait for him to go back to selling them with a 150g fallback or not. He could be just wanting to quit and trying to sell off all his glyphs or he could be tired of relisting 700+ glyphs all the time and just trying to drive me out of the market, that isn't going to happen.

But from what I am thinking right now I will just wait for him to relist at a higher price, I don't mind waiting a couple days. Its not really worth my time to relist all the auctions with a 30g cap on it.

What does everyone think?

If its not worth it for you, then don't.

Take your time and work out if this is him walling you or dumping.

I have pretty much given up on glyphs. Even selling around 8-10k a day worth it just becomes too time consuming when you move that kind of volume. Most of the research glyphs sell for 50g+ each. I was just doing a weekly crafting session but it would take around 2-3 hours just to make the glyphs, not including milling and inking. Some times you just have to pull the plug, for the amount of time you put into the business and with posting 3 times a day with 3 glyphs it leaves me with really no play time (Other than running a glyph business!).

Check darkmoon card/deck prices on your server! Tsunami decks are selling for 17k on mine still, its riduculous. With a 4g/life price on my server I figure a deck costs around 5k to make. They are still a really lucrative market and sell well. If you do even one couple hour card session a week you will have plenty of decks come DMF time. Even selling just cards on the AH will give you a good return if your servers economy isnt shit (prices on my server range from 200g for the crappier decks and up to 1800g for tsunami cards). With that kind of return the money puts glyphs on my back burner. Even fortune cards sell in stacks of 20/100 really well at 14G/per, and with all the other people barking in trade they do all the advertising for you.

Yeah I haven't even thought about getting into the DMC business because I thought It would be more more messy keeping up with all the cards on a alt or something.

I have just been selling my inferno inks for around 25-35g each in bulk to people.

Volatile Life right now on the ah is 2g 55s each there are 7 stacks of a 100 up right now at that price, but I think the avg is around 4g each.

Whiptail avg about 35-40 a stack but I always buy in bulk around 24-28 a stack.

Hurricane Deck costs 3800-4000 right now with trinket costing 5800 and the avg card of 400-1000.

Tsunami Deck costs ? right now with trinket costing avg 15000 and the avg card of 650-1800.

Volcano Deck costs avg 8000 right now with trinket costing 10500 and avg card of 400-1800.

Earthquake Deck costs 2000 right no with trinket costing 5000 and avg card of 150-1500.

Incase anyone is wondering I have around 650k capital.

Looks like you can make some money in that dmc market. Just be careful, volatile life prices usually go up during the faire.

I was going to say, watch out for the demand. While the margins look high, if you cannot sell the trinkets it doesn't matter how much they (don't) sell for, it'll be a 100% loss.

personally i'd stick to the selling of your inferno inks and the mysterious fortune cards. the DMC cards to me is a big gamble, cards are just too random for my liking. i would be interested to know what server your on cause my thing is selling all glyphs in trade for 30 gold and i guess dropping glyph prices to 30gold would be a way from someone trying to compete with my dealings. if i buy herbs off AH i aim for about 15 to 20 gold per cinderbloom stack and around 20 to 25 for whiptail. i mostly get my herbs from farmers now

i sell inferno inks that i've accumalated during the month and sell them during DMF at higher prices. there is always new scribes trying there hand at the DMC market and its best to sell at their highest demand. i was using inferno to make the relics but that market has really slowed now!

Personally, I'm waiting for the next set of DMF trinkets to come out.... /yummy

I have noticed that prices for Volatile life go up during DMF because it just started and they went from 2.5 each to 5g! anyway I guess I will just wait till after the DMF to start if I do.

I got on this morning and there were hardly any auctions of the person post at 30g each and about 40 glyphs types that were not even on the ah so I posted all mine up. Hopefully he doesn't come along and repost everything back to 30g. But If he does I'll just wait again its not that big of a deal I mean if he wants to cut his profits to almost nothing then let him!

Is there going to be another set of DMF card in Cata? I have never followed the DMF before so I don't know if they release more then one set of card per expansion. Or are you talking about in the next expansion? Because I will be making them then!
