I currently don't have an internet connection at home, since I just moved. Not even sure when it will be up, unfortunately. I just noticed that people have begun crafting the 365 epics that require Truegold. This means that supply is going to start to dry up pretty soon and thus the value of Truegold should rise. Am I likely to miss the boat on this? I stockpiled around 80, ready to sell when the time is right - but if that window of opportunity passes I may well be screwed.

Thoughts on timing? How long do you guys think it will be before the value of Truegold goes up and up and then peaks? If I can't get online for at least another week, am I likely to miss offloading my stockpile for decent profit, or do you think the prices will rise for maybe two or three weeks before plateauing, as supply dwindles?

I think it'll be a couple of weeks before it drops from peak. Keep in mind only the extreme hardcore daily questers (i.e., haven't missed a day of questing) will have a need for this right away. The casuals will catch up over the next couple of weeks and keep the prices high.

Good luck!

I've been noting a steady upward trend on Bloodscalp for Truegold, from 400g last week to 600 tonight.

Material cost are however still laughably low, so time to stock up and start transmuting again.

On my server many are still dumping there Truegold stockpile, so I just hang on a bit. Transmuting on both alch, and since Volatiles have been very cheap and undercut a long time, I still have my stock left there to.
Can hope they are dumping on your server to... ;)

Honestly (and as you know), it totally depends on your server.

I have friends on other servers who are enjoying big profits from big price spikes in truegold.

On my server, there hasn't even been a minor blip in the price, upward or downward, for weeks...even though there are now plenty of people crafting the new items.

There are just too many factors at play for me to feel like I can give you an accurate or reasonable guess as to what your own situation will be.

Good luck with the new internet connection, and here's hoping you will return to truegold profits ;)

On my server, there is only two or maybe three alchemists army.
I've one army and I can endlessly buy the cheaps true-gold if the weapons sell well on AH.

On another server that is more hardcore raiding, it looks like there is way more alchemists army, so the price hasn't moved at all.

I've been back online for about a week now but couldn't bring myself to log into the game till today. Guess it was just nice to take a break. Anyway, truegold prices still haven't shifted. It's the one thing I've been keepin an eye on. So either I sell now and make a tiny bit of profit, or I continue to hold off in the hopes that there will be an increase in demand in the coming weeks. Guess it doesn't hurt to hold onto my stockpile for another few weeks. ;)

I'd sell. The bottleneck is the orbs, not the Truegold.

Truegold has been going up in the past couple of weeks on my server but not by a huge amount, only 50-100g :/

Actually dropping in price on my server, down from 450+ to around 370.

I personally think that the high level of focus on this one mat has made it so obvious to stockpile that everyone with the faintest idea has stockpiled - and now everyone means it is time to sell off their stock. I see around 10 ppl selling at most times.

Will sit it out a couple of weeks, and maybe buy out some of the lowest from time to time, but not in a big scale.

If it goes upward again, then fine with me, otherwise I might have to take one on the chin.
