JMTC Wow Gold Forum

Joined this forum Jan 5th with 33k gold. I got some advice and started to make gold with it. I set a goal of trying to get to 100k within one month and just hit 100k gold with one day left.

Started on 9th of January with 35k. Hit 100.000 some hours ago on the 2nd of February. Thank you so much JMTC community.

Hmm I hit the 100k mark last week, at the start is was making a solid coin through inscription (bout 50k in 3months, I was quite happy with myself ), then took a few months off.

I can back 2 weeks into Cataclysm. I had a gatherer and a Jeweler/BS, so basicaly farmed my way through the first month or so after joining (yey 500g stacks of ores/herbs), when the market dried out, powerleveled my crafting professions.

From then on I started shuffling ore, in bigger and bigger quantities (biggest buy was 2k Elementium ore I managed to get off of some chinese farmer at 50g a stack when they were going at 120+), made loads of Shadowspirit diamonds and just sold away, DE'ed the few gems I had left, cut/sold rare ones.

I occasionaly shuffled Leather scraps into pristines or whatever (it amazes me that still today people don't know about this "trick" ^^).

And voila after an on and off of about 6months, hit the 100k marker, then 120k two days after that, blew the excess gold on a Chopper !!! (always wanted one since launch of LK ), spent some more, made some more.

I've got the gist and the capital to make some serious buck, all thanks to this website and a bit of spreadsheet work.

Hay all, hit 100k yesterday wit the sale of a Hog for 17k took my up to 113k. i had 25k about ~3 weeks ago but with there being little else to do in WoW I decided to try and hit 100k

made my money mainly though...
- Ore shuffle (unprofitable atm thanks to a certain website )
- Enchant scrolls such as mongoose, crusader etc
- occasional glyphs and fortune cards
- pets from vendors, sell for 3x the price
- Netherweave bags (40 a day average)
- Truegold

Going to grab the Sandstone drake I think as I haven't spent any g at all recently lol then get back to 100k asap, might head for 200k afterwards, havent decided yet

Just hit 100k today woot!! obsidium shuffle has worked a treat.

Started Cata with about 2k gold amongst my 3 characters... Visited this site regularily, and learned how to use auctioneer and play the Auction House a bit more...

As of two days ago, broke the 100k plateau...

I'll be honest though, I got to 70k and said... meh, that's good. Only real reason I broke 100k was the Pauldrons of Edward the Odd dropped, and I was able to AH them for 35k gold

So I went and bought myself the Tundra mammoth...

I have been using 1 year to earn from 2k to 1 million gold.



For the last 2 days on my server I have been giving out 1k gold to 100 random ppl and made a movie about. I will ofc post it soon so you can see its the real deal.

I have earned my gold on inscription. Selling glyphs and trinkets.

Just about every way possible described on these forums, without using any addons, bots or scams.
I've combined farming, flipping, crafting, bid low sell normal, buy all sell high, ... all very casually.
The last push from 60K to 100K was done during the Darkmoon faire selling trinkets (woot, finally some DMF-rep ).



Yes I could have done it without JMTC, but I'm not so sure I would have.
Creating this thread has pretty much put an "achievement" carrot in front of me I just had to get



I have 8 level 80+ characters, all of which have epic flying, 3 of them have the 310% boost (the Herbalist/miner ones)
Bought the chopper for my wife before there were Goblins around and got some of the rare pets off the AH for her too. (before getting the 100K liquid)

Yay, finally joined the 100k club today.


I returned to WoW on 11/1/2010 after a very long pause, with a single lvl 60 toon (enchanter/engineer) and all of 90 gold. Leveled the character to 80 and leveled profs to 450 just in time for Cata, then obviously went on to lvl 85 and 525/525.

My main moneymaker has been enchanting (enchant chest - mighty stats, enchant weapon - hurricane and enchant 2H weapon - mighty agility made the bulk of my income), though I've done some comfortable profit flipping low-priced elementium ore, and a few thousands as well with the engineering pet (de-weaponized mechanical companion).

I also kickstarted my gold-making process during Winter Veil, making about 5k selling small eggs I'd farmed myself for a couple hours.

Last but not least, I've been relying heavily on the remote AH to do some auction sniping (checking 4/5 times a day if my scrolls are still up there at the top).


Unlikely. JMTC is an invaluable resource, both as a knowledge base and as a motivation. It helped me give myself some reasonable but still challenging goals, and gave me the tools I need to reach them.

All in all, without JMTC, I'm not quite sure I'd have tried making gold in WoW.


- Vial of the Sands (50k, back in January)
- some BoE epics (15k)
- 310% mounts for two chars (8k)
- a couple enchanted lanterns (4k for the maelstrom crystals)

Hit 100k last night.

Started with 20k back in January.

Would I have done it without you lot? Hell no.

Made it through shuffling, glyphs and leatherworking kits.
