The "normal" price is around 3g50s on my server. I've been trying to buy around 2g50s. Got a few thousand life. But...unless some botters get banned, I'll be using them myself.

Just cleaned out the AH of Volatile Life, all the way up to 11g (usually hovers around 9-10g). That left exactly one on the AH, which somebody had up at a 100g buyout. Not happening right? So I wound up with about 2500 life from that buy, and put up about 200 in mixed stacks of 1 and 10 at 75g per. Maintenance starts soon. :D

It's still at 3g on my server. Stayed there for a day...was down as low as 1g50s. I just can't see it rising much with the number of "farmers" we have. I have 4000 in the bank...we'll see!

Exact same problem here. It's a bit higher, closer to 4g, even with the fair, and I'm beginning to think I've made a mistake.

Oh, well, I only bought 1400 or so, and kind guildmates are transmuting airs for me when they don't use their CD.

I just bought everything out under 4g. Left 14 auctions. Also bought all V Water under 6g (int bracer enchant).

Worst comes to worst, I'll eventually transmute my life with my 6 alchemists...may take a while, I now have 5500. 61 days worth! Weeeee

This has easily been the biggest gamble of my WoW career: Well over 25K spent for over 3000 Volatiles, including over 2000 V.Lifes. I was still snapping up hundreds of V.Lifes, last night, at 8-10G/each. I have sold these, recently, at 18+ gold/each; but the above stories fo 1.5 to 4 G/V.Life gives me the shivers!

I guess, today, we start seeing if it paid off.

@ error ---> I have found that I can sell at higher prices if I sell in lots of 5. If the price differential isn't too great (+10% is no problem), people will bypass the lower prices of the stacks of 20, 10, and even 1. Probably folks trying to round out to 15, and/or do not want to click 15 times to get mats for their daily transmute. I've taken to posting mostly in 5s, with a few 1s if there is not direct competition, rather than compete directly with 10s and 20s and have to settle for a lower price.

Screw that. It started selling at 9g this afternoon, sold 4 batches of 50 so far. On my server, that's about twice the usual price, so there's definitely something going on, at least with the alchemist stones.

Normal price around 9g here.. But got a ton for 7g.. Prices stayed up(15g) for exactly 2 hours.. Sold around 400..

As soon as prices dropped back to normal I moved all over to horde side and are now selling them for 20g+ .. Close to being sold out, so might flip some more.

New user here, just signed up to post this:

I spent about 4500g on Monday buying up any Volatile Life under 7g. I ended up with around 800 pieces. I monitored prices throughout the day on Tuesday. During the day I was able to buy about 300 more pieces listed for 4.5g/each.

Around 2pm I saw prices jump from 7-9g average up to 10-11g. I posted all of my inventory in stacks of 20 for 300g (15/each). Someone undercut my price-per-item down to 13.5g/each so I cancelled about 5 stacks and relisted them in stacks of 5 at 13.49g/per item. Those sold immediately. Within an hour all of the other seller's 13.5g stacks were gone and my 15g/each stacks were the cheapest and started to sell. I got greedy and decided to cancel about half of those stacks (18 or so) and relist for 350/stack (17.5g/each). By 8pm I'd sold my entire inventory of around 1100 pieces.

Initial investment was ~ 4000g.
Additional purchases of around 1500g.
Total sales: 17,700g
Net profit: 12,200g

Nice post, Drychtnath; and welcome to the forums!

Real life kept me offline until LATE yesterday, and I only had a few minutes online. Lowest price for Volatile Lifes had risen from the norm of 9-11, up to 24g50s! Woo Hoo! listed a bunch of stacks of 5 at just under 20g/each, and another back-up batch at just under the going 24.5g. One batch sold just before I logged.

Sitting on over 2000 V.Life, acquired at an average cost of about 9-10g/each. Let's see how long this dream lasts.
