Hey guys,

Im just wondering is there is another Embersilk farming spot as near as good as the one in deepholm(Jaspertip Swarmers that recently got nerfed into the ground) that i can farm in conjunction with Potion of Treasure finding,

Would be a great help!

I can almost pinpoint the second the nerf took effect. I was grinding heavy with normal drops. Emptied my bags and BANG, no more drops.

The ghosts and elites in Obelisk of the Moon. Ghosts are non-aggro and fairly low hps. Elites always start with 1/2 or less of their hps.

The two types are typically fighting, so tag the ghost first to get credit for both kills.

Mobs drop higher % of cloth. Trash and green drops appear to be low. Chest drops have only been seen to be 2-4 per hour.

i thought the chests were tied to their own drop chance? about 6% per mob or something, did they stealth nerf it?

I thought so as well. I'll farm it again tonight and keep track of chest drops.

The stone troggs in deepholm are not bad. I once farmed them for one hour with my warlock and looted 261 cloth (being a tailor), 22 treasure chests, 140g in cash / grey stuff and 15 green items.

I've done the stone troggs in deepholm also for fair reward. Pop a Treasure potion and just went to town. Being a mage with a pocket pally healer helps a ton. Takes longer to loot then anything else. In an hour I can get a dozen greens or so for DE, vendor trash, and a good amount of cloth. Last time I did it had about a dozen chest I think. I had exact numbers somewhere around my desk at home.

If you're Alliance there's a "escort" quest in TH where a dwarf walks up and down a street in one of the dwarven ruins there to spring Orc ambushes. It's not an actual escort, but the point is to walk down the street with them springing the ambushes.

There are three attacks along the fairly short path where 5-8 orcs jump out and attack you and so long as you deal the majority of the damage to them you get credit for their loot. When you get to the end just abandon the quest and then go through it again from the other direction over and over. I did it for one hour with the PoTF and got a little over 7 stacks.

Probably not the best place to farm, but it wasn't bad at all. I didn't count the number of chests that dropped, though I'd say somewhere around 5-7 or so.
