Anyone else having huge issues with heartblossom? I need it to make flasks and I only get about 6 plants per hour. Yes that's 6 plants! Not stacks.

I have tried thousands of different routes around deepholme but no luck. Even tried just staying around one area and waiting for respawn but still no luck.

The thing is I rarely see anyone else farming the area but then again its so big they may be just ahead or behind me!

It's not because they don't fly straight into your face, that they aren't there  , at least you got your location right (Deepholme)
They require 475 Herbalism to gather and lots of people might be going after these as they are needed for the potion of treasure finding.
Basically you should gather any herb you come across and you'll be fine (or look for a farmer), but to me, it looks like you'll have to keep farming

The problem with Heartblossom is it's scattered literally all over the zone, making efficient farming difficult. And, I'm guessing that the farmer bots are skipping this zone for some reason.

Another thing to think about is phasing.

I don't think it's been done but it might be interesting to do some statistical analysis of how each quest chain that affects phasing affects the herbs avialable in a zone. In almost every zone I have ran into phasing has had an impact on gathering in one way or another. Those nodes you fly upto and they dissapear and no one is there, if you back up you will notice you crossed a zone line and when you get the zone text the herb will reappear. Those are sub zones which are phased.

This is my farmer alt so I have not done any quests on him yet, almost level 83 though :)

The issue is that there are no plants at all. I need them for the Spirit flasks for raiding as its 3 per night and they are currently going for 300G. Add another 150-200 for repairs depending on whether we are in progression on said night or not. And not to forget potions which are about 20-30 a pop!

Currently spending about 1000g a night just on the raid itself not to mention gear upgrades, enchants, gems etc.

I have everything else covered except for these damn plants :)

Hopefully Blizzard will up the spawn rate for them as I have recently seen quite a few posts up commenting on the lack of plants.

Happy Xmas guys :)

On my alt with no quests done I've noticed one thing, he is a miner and a herbalist and a couple of times in Hyjal I already dismounted to collect a herb or mine a vein and it disappeared, meaning they are out-of-phasing objects.

Items disappearing are a common problem. I've seen it with mining and fishing nodes as well. You see it coming up and when you approach it - POOF - it fades out. And when you leave it pops up again. Only if you creep up on it in a certain way might the node stick around.

Not sure if it's latency or phasing involved. But nodes of all kinds are having big issues. I wonder if Blizzard is trying to foil farmers. If the program detects that you've farmed so many nodes in the last few minutes it fades out other nodes for a while.

I see this all the time on fishing nodes along the coast of Uldum. After a time, many nodes start to fade out as you approach them. It can be very frustrating.

Competition for nodes is beefing up on my server. People are becoming very rude due to too many people trying to farm the same mats. I think either Blizzard needs to up the spawn rates in some areas or else there's going to be civil war withing the same faction.

Don't let your mind go wild, it's just phasing. It is true that if you can approach the node in a certain way you *might* be able to pick it, but that's just phasing bugs :) I usually do it with my druid herbing alt by flying outside the phase inside it, just a pixel above ground, so that he has max speed and click land and herb fast as soon as the cursor allows it. Works only on near the edge of phasing area nodes, obviously.

My guess is that its unbottable. I saw a bunch being stuck in rocks or the mice trap boat i call it. They gave up farming it.
That is why Uldum is so much farmed , best place for bots.

You may have to put a few hours aside and do the Deepholm quests if you want the rest of the nodes to be visible to you.

You might also try flying on a slower (lvl 60) mount, until you get the hang of the place. At top speed, and a bit of height, you can fly past a node before it shows up on your minimap, indeed once the node didn't appear for me until it was almost far enough behind me to blink off. I believe this problem is also either caused, or exacerbated by phasing.

NB Phasing also plays a part in Uldum gathering, possibly Hyjal, but I've seen no sign of it in Twilight Highlands. My guess is that they've tried to phase nodes in places where the monsters that "Guard" them are phased; ostensibly to avoid situations where people were avoiding content to stay in a phase with all the rewards and none of the dangers, as happened a bit in WotLK.
