What does this have to do with anything?

Anyone that's doing that is misinterpreting how this system works. There is no way new cata mats are going to be purchased with pre-cata currency. It's never happened and it never will.

You could stockpile honor at the end of BC and it carried over for Wrath. It's not unprecedented.

some people were saying they weren't sure if blizzard would add on all this stuff or expand old mats to lvl 85 but beside this also ppl can forget about making the old routine profession lvling kits

"Many of the green (and possibly some blue) items made during the process of leveling these professions will contain random stats. In most examples, two stats on these items will be set, and two will be random. The idea with these items is to mix up the skill leveling items so you’re not just, for example, creating 10 pairs of boots that are all exactly the same.
Superior-quality items that require more materials than other recipes in the same skill range provide multiple skill-ups. For example, if a recipe takes three times the reagents, it will give you three skill-ups.
We didn’t feel like we were getting much flexibility from specializations, so they have been removed for all three of these professions. The intent was to help people diversify their profession to feel different from that of other players, but through other professions we’ve found systems that work better to this end, such as simply making recipes available that you can earn over time.
To follow up the previous change, all items that required a specialization are now useable by anyone.
Tailoring the high-end Cataclysm items will center around a single cloth type that can be crafted through five different recipes — each with their own material components and a long cooldown.
All three professions will create their starter sets of PVP gear, which will be upgraded with new recipes every season. In general, these are meant to keep pace as an entry-level PvP set below whatever the current Hero Point set is."

Nope.

http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/threa ... 2440&sid=1

As many of you know we will be featuring a new Battleground, a dedicated world PvP zone and all new PvP items in Wrath of the Lich King. In order to make the transition from The Burning Crusade to Wrath of the Lich King flow as smoothly as possible, all accrued honor points will be reset at the launch of the expansion. We do this to ensure select players do not have an unfair advantage at level 80 from stockpiling honor to instantly purchase the newest Wrath of the Lich King PvP rewards.

Yep.

I know it's probably confusing. Initially they said they were going to reset Honor, but they decided against it after all the pvptards cried for 2 weeks straight.

yeah my spider sense was tingling as I wrote that. I searched pretty well and couldn't find it, but it was nagging at me that I was wrong anyway. That's what I get for blabbing about PVP when I do zero of it, I'll just stick to what I know like making gold :)

It's still pretty unthinkable that they would allow for purchasing "current" content gear with "old" currency. It's not like you could go grind obsolete content and accrue honor - you had to pvp within your bracket within "current" PVP content. The whole purpose of their emblem/now points system was to disallow farming obsolete and trivial content for current style rewards.

That depends if you consider heroics gear or raid gear "Current gear"

If you considered Naxrammas gear as the "Current gear" that everyone aspired to when WotLK came out, then there's nothing wrong with buying heroic-value trinkets.

In other words, they'll always be selling 2 classes of items, ones you have to work (raid, daily random heroic) for, and weaker stuff you can pick up with the 4000 points you can carry between expansions and patches.

My question is whether or not bosses in lvl 80 heroic dungeons will still give points, and how many.

The way I read it was that Justice Points at 85 could be used to buy level 85 gear, be it blue or epic, to help prepare for raiding.

Actual raid quality items (like orbs) would require the higher-level tokens.

Each time a new tier is released, all T2 points are converted to T1 points and all items which were purchased with T2 points are now purchased with T1 points. Then Blizzard adds a new T2 vendor and makes the new raid tier the only place to get T2 points.

Good question, my guess is that they won't, and that if they do, it will be a marginal amount.

EDIT - Or maybe they will but only if you're the relevant level.

This is my understanding as well. We can save up points now to get a small head-start on 85 gear.

They already said content that is level appropriate for you, that currently drops badges, will now drop Justice points. That means L70 heroics will give Justice points for L70-73ish players, and 80 Heroics will give Justice points to L80-83ish players.
