At your level, you'd probably do well with a traditional enchant/tailoring combo. You'll be able to farm lower instances for mats to skill up on. While you're doing the low enchants, the ones nobody wants, just enchant some grey armor or make oils. The oils probably won't sell either but you can use them to work on your positive karma/goodwill. When you get sellable enchants, DO NOT give them out for free. See which ones will sell in the AH on vellums. Send all of those to a bank alt so you can slowly liquidate them. Some folks want 20 points of skillups to sell in 24 hours. I think 24 days is more reasonable if you want to break even or see profits. They're free to post, so it's really not a big deal if they don't sell after even 100 postings (granted, that sucks).

My DK is a skinner/Tailor. I picked that for her specifically because all the nodes are mobs. If I kill humanoids, especially in Northrend, I get cloth and other drops. If I kill critters, skins and meats. I think it works well for the class as a general OP killing machine. I usually like recommending enchanting as an expensive hobby for a second toon, but that's up to you.

That certainly sounds like a good idea. However, the enchants that would start to sell are around 375 on this server, and I cant really farm that. Secondly, that plan would be far too time consuming as I am trying to level as fast as possible.

My plan, is to sell things I pick up on my death knight like greens or some useful whites on my banker, the money he makes is then used to buy low and sell normal, I recently made some investments using this, with an 80g starting amount. Should these things sell, I will hopefully see 200g profit. And that will be multiplied, etc. The only thing is its hard to tell what to buy, I am not used to this AH at all, and I want to avoid losing my money.

I reckon for my purposes what I am doing right now is the best way to go. At 80 I will put all my efforts into making cash, but I really want to see if I can get a good 10-20k while leveling, to eliminate the need of time specifically dedicated to making money at 80 so I can focus solely on gearing up.

I plan to pickup inscription and enchanting on this server for my DK, as herb prices and other things can be easily manipulated for a nice profit.

But I wonder if you guys have any ideas about another nice way of making money while leveling, or do you reckon what I am doing now is ok?

What you're doing sounds fine. I would say that thinking the sellable enchants only start at 375 is probably false, though. I do nicely with +100 health chest enchants. Assuming there's no flooding (as happens sometimes), I can sell those for 20-30g each. That's almost 10 times the mats cost. Every so often it gets invaded by folks skilling up, but that passes.

Hehe, sadly this new AH seems susceptible to flooding, and I have already encountered many auctioneers sniping or using tricks or dirty tricks, so I need to be careful ^^

A lot of dirty tricks are used on this server (im playing here aswell for long time, alliance also).

And basicly there's a few "chinese" farmer/bot guilds trying to control some markets, so you'll exp lots of undercutting and flooding.

Funny thing about farmers, they just want to get paid. If you can handle the volume, buy directly from them and then relist or make stuff. It may be good to take underpriced herbs, make a ton of consumables and use those to let you farm higher level stuff more effectively.

I used to do that for saronite ore prospecting and making stuff to disenchant. I would make 5k out of 1.5k since I would get a stack of 20 for 10g and that alone prospecting and DEing was worth 50g if you add the average of blue gems.

I am intending to join Immersion. I wanted to join Apex on my mage Akraat, but sadly they are just a bit too hardcore for me atm (I study, alot). Would maybe join them sometime in the future, but it will be fun to play DK, as mage is getting tiring, luck based dpsed and OP as hell in PvP^^ but still a fun class.

Anyways sidetracking from this topic, thanks for the help guys.
