So I made a new DK on a new realm for the purpose of joining a guild, since my mage is getting boring. I have no trouble using Marcko's guide with lvl 1s, but I am at 61 with 140g, I just sent about 80g to my banker and he made some auctions which if they sell should net me 300g, but I am really worried about the nature of this. Can someone please give me some tips or guidelines about making money as a DK on a new realm.

A new, fresh, realm? In all honesty, there probably isn't that much cash floating around just yet. Once they allow transfers in, there might be some influx. I'd work on gathering professions, personally. Sell stuff outlined in powerleveling guides for tradeskills. Pass out links for those guides like candy. Then post the mats listed. If you're going to try producing stuff, then center on things more suited for leveling. People are starting from scratch, so they won't have mains to boost their toons just yet.

Hehe think you misunderstood, its a new realm for me, this is a long standing realm, Al'Akir, I was trying to say I had no chars on that realm.

Not really any preffered proffesion. Atm I have none and am level 61. I plan to level to 80, making what I can from buying low and selling normal, then employing tactics such as argent tournament pets to make money. Hopefully the money I make while leveling will also give me a good amount to manipulate the AH with.

Well, then you better get to 80 fast, because as time goes by, the price of those pets will lower. While at the moment you can sell one for 2,000 gold if you're lucky, in about a month, the price may have been halved.

And yes, the money you'll make until 80 (specially in Northrend) will be very good to start manipulating the AH. Considering you won't spend most of it on some nice purple or something similar, that is.

hehe I just hope I actually make something of it, on Kor'gall with my mage its soo easy, 150g turns to 700g like that, with a 80g investment on Al'Akir I havent made any substantial profit from buying low and selling high.
