Seems these forums have gone a bit quiet recently

Anyway, lets do some sharing...
What should we be stockpiling now to really rake in the gold when MoP is upon us?

Hmmm, I wonder why the forums have had so little activity as of late.....
Maybe it's to do with things like this

I could've just reposted a WOTLK  Cataclysm stockpiling reply and replace all gatherables by their Cataclysm counterparts
But the real key to making lots and lots of gold is having lots and lots of gold available for starters to be able to play the buy-low-sell-normal game.

The fastest gold you can make at the launch of MOP is use a level 85 dual gatherer (Herbs/Mining) and gather the new ore and herbs.
I've had people bid 10K on a stack of Pyrite Ore on day one just to attempt getting that server first on whatever profession.
(They lucked out as I had posted those for 48 hours without buyout  )
I got a server first mining 525 and I still feel I could've had a first on herbalism too if I had only pushed myself to stay awake

If Blizzard doesn't hide the top-level recipies behind a near-max-level wall (like level 84 at the start of Cataclysm), you could also attempt to use the gathered goods for your own crafters and sell their products, but in my experience people tend to hate gathering and are prepared to pay a lot to others if they're willing to gather stuff for them.

Everybody and their cat ran off to stormspire.net (the consortium), it's "the new jmtc forum", that's why this place is near dead :ugeek:

Although its a little early to say anything definitively until they released beta information, it's likely, as with every new expansion, gold will probably be at least twice as common as the previous expansion. That means that any gold you don't spend in the first week or two will probably be devalued to half its current buying power.

Now is the time to stock up on goods that you feel will increase in value and diversify your wealth. Rare pets and mounts (bikes and vials aren't going to get any cheaper to make), crucial crafting mats and anything that would appeal to a tsunami of baby pandarians. While most players will create leather-wearing monks, about 20% of players will no doubt make pandapriests and panamages and whatever other classes the race can take.

Nowadays people level their baby toons so fast that I wouldn't worry about low-med flasks or elixers or gear. Most will be using heirloom gear so any appropriate enchants should sell well. (So stock up on the enchanting mats now.)

Another area to look at right now is the transmogging market. I see a lot of otherwise useless gear going for some helfty amounts of gold due only to how they look on a character. Check out http://www.wowroleplaygear.com for a place to start your shopping list.

Cheers chief. I feel enchanting would be the best road for me to go down at the mo so i'll probably start rinsing the relevant matts now
