Weekend money maker

I was hoping to get some ideas here.

I have recently cut my wow time down quite a bit. Bar my mid week raid i spend only weekends playing (about 5 hours Saturday and 5 hours on Sunday).

Im looking for some ideas on making gold on weekends as i find my traditional methods are not working, because of my limited time.

I have 85 rogue 525 JC and 525 Engineering
83 DK 525 xmute and 375 Enchanting
76 Druid 525 Mining and 525 Herbing.

Approx 20k gold accross all characters

All characters are on the same realm on Alliance side. There are very few farmers on Alliance side, but all the big modern markets (cata gear and consumables, shuffle) are being stalked regularly by some descent money makers and I cant justify the time competing with them as i did before. Farming is not an option with the time constraints, but I don't mind creating by whatever means is necessary so long as my character can produce the products needed to create the items or i can buy them off the AH.

Im looking for small - Medium markets that liven up on weekends which will keep the till ticking over and enable me pick up a few disirable items that will help develop my character.

If i can stock pile some gold for a rainy day then i would love to see 50k gold on one of my chars one day.

I'd check the Hatchlings if I were you, started out an Alliance character on a new server and these have been consistent moneymakers (500G - 1K every day)
Just remember to bark 'em in trade so the achievement hunters are aware they're available

Weekends, I'll get to that in a minute.

For now:

Do your Auctioneer scan right before raid summons. Yes, that means you need to show up five minutes earlier and not be late at all. Craft stuff (like gems) before the pull and after a wipe. Run like hell back to the AH to post your crafted items right when you finish your raid; this is when other people will be buying! Make sure you have addons (Auctioneer, TradeSkillMaster) to speed up your scanning, crafting and posting and that you know how to use them.

As for weekends, this is usually a great time to go shopping. Find bargains on Saturday and Sunday morning and resell them in the evening. This could be anything: volatiles, ores, bars, epics, you name it.

Yep, weekends is a good time to buy cheap... that often means that if you're selling, you're selling cheap.

I think, like everything else, it's server- and item- dependent. Though it's hard to go wrong with buying on Saturday morning and selling on Tuesday night. As always, you should watch your own server's price fluctuations over the course of the week.
