A blue just confirmed that rested xp will be reset when cata is launched. He didn't make it very clear if this means that level 79.99 characters will be reset or if he just means that level 80's will not accumulate rested like it's been in the past.

I guess it's time for me to push my three 79.90's to 80 and horde up on level 80 quests to turn in after the xpac goes live.

When he say's "Rested experience", I'm not sure if he means 80's or all levels. If might be possible to save up 1.5 lvls worth of rested as a 79.999 and then possibly use that to get ahead at launch? I highly doubt that they would allow this, given the fierce competition for the realm first 85 achievement. It would be a big oversight if they did...

Edit: Spelling.

He means at all levels 1-80. Doesn't matter what level you are or if your toon is 3 years old and level 25. You will start Cataclysm with no rested xp.
