Discovered this forum yesterday, so Hi !

I am at about 34k myself, 3 level 80 toons with epic flyers/northred flying and a travelers mamoth, and dual spec for 5 toons.

I guess I am just "barely rich" by the standards of this forum, but for my guildies I am drowning in gold
In vanilla wow I was at about 3k, in BC about 15k, I always bought my riding skills as soon as available, never knew the pain of slow flying.

In vanilla I made my fortune by buying low cost darkmoon cards and aces, and selling the resulting decks for a nice profit. At level I was buying all the iron I could to make iron grenades and make a profit just by selling them to the NPC

In BC it was mostly farming primal air as with the mote extractor when they where in high demand.

In LK, I do not know, gold comes by naturaly I'am making quite some gold selling spellthread of low cost materials and since a few days I have maxxed alch, JC and enchant to make some big profits

I would be sitting at 30k plus by now...if it weren't for investment in titanium ore!!!! and nobles decks!! and when I hear a friend or guildie mention in chat that they are scripming and saving for epic flyer, I tend to mail them the amount they need as a suprise on the one condition that they don't tell anyone where they got it from...very very amusing to hear them leap about screaming yippeee on guild chat but not tell anyone why!!! heheheh Costs little but makes for some very solid gaming friendships - I have quite a few lvl 80s players who would drop nearly anything (apart from a raid of course) to come help me out with something.

My long term plan though, when I liquidate the 30k or so of stock I have in the bank, is to have some fun with the market i.e. 3 or 4 alts with all different names, prob double boxing with my "trading" account, pick a new item and total mess with the market - buy up all abyss crystals, repost at double or triple BUT have a big enough bank roll to do this and ride whatever anyone else does in response.... Then delete all these alts, and do the same with another item in a few weeks time....(having stocked up on said item previously of course!!!)....I'd have to pick carefully - something lower volume, needed regularly and difficult to farm or craft. If you had 100 abyss crystals stashed away and messed with the market so you bought up....say up to 300 and relisted, driving the price from 100g to 300g each, you'd make 60-80k easily.....Sounds like fun to try some macroeconomic moves eh?!?
I reakon a 100k bankroll would be enough to mess with it....

You have to be careful with abyss crystals. Every medium to large guild just sits on bank tabs full of them. I have seen some people waste time trying to play with the abyss crystal market. Once a Guild Master see's them going for 300% of normal price you will start to see the crystals flow.

I hit the gold cap of 214k gold @ the beginning of June... only 1 other person has done it on the alliance side that I know of. It was a huge accomplishment but don't expect to many peeps to treat you nicely once they know you have that much gold. I have the Tundra / Motorcycle on my main, epic flying on 4 chars

Now I'm working on buying some Titanium ore, currently up to 200 stacks and still have 200k gold reserve to spend

In pure gold I'm at 46kish, got well over 300 stacks of Titanium ore so far and I don't plan on slowing down my buying spree until 3.2 hits. Made all my gold from the JC business - holiday made me able to agressivly relist gems all day long, and I'm actually sure I've driven a fair few big JCers out of work just because of that, at least I start seeing them sell raw gems instead of cut. My revenue is around 50-100k a week depending on how often I relist. I don't really know how much is profit as I'm spending alot on titanium besides raw gems and saronite.

I've actually had an alt announcing he would buy Titanium for 350g a stack - I tought what the heck, if I can make 200g a stack then I'm making a move! It turned out that he wanted to check out his compeditors Titanium stash. Luckly I first offered to sell 25 stacks and then later "revealed" that I had around 93 in total

It's hard enough for me to get 8k in 3 months let alone being "up" 78k for the week QQ
