Currently about 35k, making approx 1000g a day during the week and 2000g a day on weekends.

I am really only in 2 markets now, Inscription and JC (for DEnch) - they make all my gold. And their return/time seems about the best of anything I have tried ingame :)

For JC, as in make rings and DE it?

Yep, I buy cheap ore to prospect or buy the green gems when I can get them cheap and the Eternals, make the rings and DE them.
Blue quality gems are sitting in my bags uncut. I never even bothered trying to do anything with them, I really should get on moving them before the next patch...

Zamboni, are the whiners you mention due to your gold making/market dominance? Or completely unrelated?

I'm just curious, as with 400k+ you could do some serious market manipulation... I think you mentioned somewhere else that you've had some large % of your factions auctions??

Unrelated, just a bunch of JCs whining about their 48-hour auctions being undercut. They're posting ten times as many stones as I am, but my use of 12-hour auctions has them flummoxed. I think they're just a bunch of BC-ere monopolists that still haven't figured out the market has changed. It would be child's play to completely overwhelm the market and bankrupt the lot of them, but I'm just not in the mood.

My banker is only playing around with a 25K bankroll these days - most of my slush fund is in the bank. In the past, I would surge up to a third of the auction house, but there's so much money sloshling around in WotLK that it hasn't been necessary to manipulate much (beyond a few artificial raw material shortages).

I do use a lot of buy-and-hold to take advantage of price surges from major patches, however. No manipulation needed, just dribbling it back out at the new market price. The 3.2 changes are looking to be a significant opportunity for this. I can easily see myself spending 200-300K gold stockpiling mats for this one.

I always feel a little crushed after reading Zam's posts. There's just no way I have that kind of bankroll.

For stocking up on raw materials, it's a matter of minutes: log in, buy out whatever category looks good, log off. Everything then just piles up in the mailbox until I get some free time to move it into the banks. If the AH is empty, it's a sign to go dig it out of the mailbox and start feeding it back in. I'll sit on stuff for months waiting for a shortage. (Or longer: I still have stacks of Enchanted Thorium and Hardened Adamantite in the back corner. You never know...).

On the other hand, it takes 10 minutes just to empty the mailbox on my glyph mule. Managing a Crafting profession takes far more time and effort than just blindly buying out all the blue and green auctions in Trade Goods. The more gold you have, the easier it is to make more.

(I've got some screenshots coming that will blow your minds. The markets are going nuts from the speedhack bans.)

I've starting to wonder about this 30k topic because a lot of guys on here seem to be way past that!
Its the same kind of story as in real life though, no matter how much you have you would always like more. Someone with 5k would like 6k another on 45k would like 50k, and so on.

Not sure what the view by the average wow player is but I would have thought that an amount over and above say 18k would be considered rich (enough to by a travellers mount or motorcycle - expensive status symbols).

On my realm people think I am rich but in this company its a whole different level of wealth. Its almost like mixing it with the mega rich of wow.
