Yes I too refuse to acknowledge the new gold cap.

So yea, I too passed the old cap yesterday due to glyphmass.

Same here, old cap reached on Saturday. Still making money from this Glyphmass, i am actually begging for it to stop!

Hit the "cap" today as well and was so sad when I was able to trade the last 1 copper that was supposed to be the limit. =( Anyone know the new cap?

I hit the old cap today. The new cap will take a while but I feel pretty good having finally hit this one, especially since while Glyphmas made it easier, I still had to fight for it (I love my server... honest.)

Once I get a bit above it my self-reward will be 310% flying on my main and farming alt.

Cata goal is to hit the new gold cap. At that point I will probably drop out of the AH game completely. Until then... see you all at the AH! :)

Best part was talking to some people from an old server shortly after:

Them: So... no icc 25 gear on your main, that sucks

Me: yeah running in a 10man group, good guys.

Them: what have you been up to then?

Me: well I passed 200,000 gold this weekend.

Them: You mean 20,000?

Me: No, I mean 200,000.

Haha had the same after I had earned 150K gold in the first week after 4.0.1

Me: 150K made since 4.0.1, not bad
Guild: 150g?
Me: No 150K
Guild: 15,000g?
Me: No 150K

I actually hit the old gold cap an hour after logging in the day 4.0.1 hit... sales from before the patch went live, so does it count?

I celebrated by buying choppers for my entire 10man group.

Glyph sales are still around 5-10K a day, so I'm up to 250K now.

Been awhile since I've posted here. My gold making slowed down when work load increased but my coffers continued to fill steadily with gold and this morning I reached the old gold cap! I still can't believe it got that high. When I started playing the AH it was to earn 10k to buy a Battered Hilt for my alt and I just didn't stop making gold, it became it's own game that kept me interested in WoW far longer than raiding or leveling alts did.

Now the tough part. Do I actually spend money again or see how high the number can go? It's become a scorecard that keeps going up but being able to buy all the shiny epics for my main to get him ready for raiding would be nice. Maybe the new Alchemy mount, only seen one on my server so far.
