Hello everyone,

A Huge thanks to Marco, Gevlon, and the Fine people on these forums.

Several Months ago i was your average wow player, doing dailies, a bit of farming etc just to spend it all on Flasks, Food, and Repairs for farming. Then we had a night of awful wipes, 300g+ in repair costs the 3 flasks I'd used effectively wasted as we downed no bosses, food flushed away down my ghoul and my own gullets.

A few days prior to that awful night i had read a post on Wow.com about some gold making blog that i'd glanced at and forgotten. I decided i would read that blog and teach myself to make gold as well as i tanked or DPSed. The blog was JMTC and it lead me to Greedy Goblin.

I took stock of what i had, a level 80 DK with Herbalism/Mining, 70 Shaman with Inscription/Herbalism, 70 Druid with Leatherworking/Skinning and a 70 Paladin with no professions.

Furiously over the weekend when we weren't raiding i did extra dailies and got myself 800g to serve as my starter fund.

Very quickly i used the 800g to start my glyph industry rapidly getting it to 450 and gold started to come in. I went from just doing the stock glyph sales to adding in Vellums, Books, Cards. Quickly i had the gold to start purchasing the books for the rare glyphs which further increased profits.

Now i was making as much gold as i had doing dailies every day with out having to do them and more free time to do dungeons etc.

Then it occurred to me to try using some of the other professions to make even more gold, and in a flash my Death Knight went from being a farmer to a Jewelcrafter/Enchanter. Suddenly even More gold was poring in as i sold Stacks of gems to others leveling their JC, Cut gems, Enchanting materials, and Scrolls of various enchants.

Next i leveled the Druids Leatherworking to 450, and gave the Paladin 450 Blacksmithing, along the way adding Crafted Epics, Rods for Enchanters, Leg Enchants, etc to my sales.

And finally i dropped my Shamans Herbalism to pick up Alchemy for even more AH ownage via Flasks, Elixirs, Potions and Transmutes.

So there i sat, Nearly every profession at 450 and quickly amassed 30k gold no need to farm for raids anymore as i could provide all my needs myself.

Thats when i reached another turning point, now that i HAD this gold what to do with it.... I had told a few guild mates how much gold i had made and that just resulted in them asking for help on things like epic flyers etc. Of the 7 people that i bought epic flying for only one has payed me back even a bit and even then just 1k so far. So if i couldn't tell anyone about it, and it wasn't doing anything but sitting there what good was it?

Then i discovered the joys of Collecting, Pets, Mounts, etc.

Now its a few months later, I've purchased epics, mounts, pets etc for both myself, my alts and my wife's toons with 10k still sitting in the bank.

So i find myself looking at my next goal, and fittingly its one set forth to me by these forums that helped me so much. I've reached 30k once before, my next goal is 50k. Then 100k, and following that the Cap.

My server is slow with lots of undercutting so the huge profits that others report aren't quite as easily reached on my server but due to my diversity i still average about 1.2 to 1.7k profit a day after reinvestment.

On my way to my goal i intend to 'twink' out my bank alt in style while still maintaining my current 'standard' of living but reach that goal i shall and I'll do it with much more speed and efficiency then i ever could have imagined with a hearty thanks to Marko, Gevlon and all of you.

So for the TL;DR crowd...

THANKS!

Grats man, you ain't the only one making a huge profit from this forum :P Have made about 20k the last month in just trying out different gold strategies, incuding selling epic gems and making loads of ench mats from low cost JC greens. Will also soon start up a Tailor and a Inscriptor so I can make some profit from glyphs and bags.

All this thanks to Markco's blog and all the people at JMTC forum for the great help and guideance throught the hard and confusing start :P

And grats with the baby ;)

(Psssst....OK everyone. Hide the good silverware and if he shakes your hand, count your fingers afterwards.)

First off! CONGRATULATIONS ON BECOMING A NEW FATHER!

And secondly, very nice story you got there, and to be completely honest, I am just a wee bit jealous. I've been leveling my alts lately and not had the patience to start a real gold enterprise. So, good job, keep it up, and go for gold!!

Sincerely,

Werfert
