Hi guys, If I make all the rings and necks etc, shall I de all of em??

Each ring vendors for 3g14s and disenchants into 2-3 Infinite Dust (usually). If dust is above 1g25s, then you usually come out ahead disenchanting it. Below that, you might as well vendor it.

If dust prices are down and gem prices are up, you may be better off skipping the jewelry entirely and just selling the stones (Chalcedony in particular).

Granted, what I'm about to ask is very server dependent, but what are your typical price points for saronite if you want to do this or not?

For example, a stack of saronite is usually 19G on my server, but I snagged 60 stacks yesterday for 13G each. Eternal Earths were at 40G a stack as well, but I think they normally hover in the 50's. I wish I knew what infinite dust was going for, but I just vendored all the jewelry instead of DE, and saved the blues. I do know I made like 100G over what I paid out, but I've not done the maths to know what the price point is for the vendoring/DEing to not break even.

Next time I'm on I'm going to see what dusts are at, and hopefully I'll get another break like that to test with.

hey guys!

would anyone have a "spread sheet" so to speak of what the price of saronite ore needs to be, to make this profitable?(kind of like the IotS list in the inscription forum)

i mainly craft greenies in to rings and neck and vendor, and then cut/ craft rares into more profitable items(heartseeker scope)

meaganfoxwatch:

What price you can buy the saronite ore at all depends on what you can sell your gems for. Always remember, however, that any ore below 62s50c can be smelted and sold to a vendor for profit- so no matter your server, that is the bottom of the market.

The one thing I have had to remember is how much my own purchases affect the market. If I'm buying 200 saronite ore, the price won't change much. However, I'm buying about 10K ore a week (like I do), I pretty much set the price for the ore myself. Currently, I only buy below vendor price, which means that if I ever get too much I can easily offload it to an NPC for a small gain.

Anyone else notice a rise in saronite ore lately? In the past few weeks it's gone from about 12.75g to around 14-18g per stack on my server and there isn't much posted to buy. For awhile I was able to buy it at the AH for 9-10g per stack and by the boat load. Blizzard must have swung their ban-hammer around and took out a crew of botters/hackers lol.

It's gone up from about 12 to 15 bottom price on our server. Still able to Shuffle profitably on it though.

Supply seems to be drying up some. Last night the lowest priced stacks were a handful at 20g. I noticed that infinite dust is going about 2g each, titanium bars are around 18g/bar, and blue gems are starting to finally pick up in price after quite a pretty bad slump.

Slightly related to this, I believe it was Zamboni who put up a link of someone's work or possibly his, showing a spreadsheet for titanium/titansteel/saronite based on how much one had paid for the mats on one's particular realm - could someone please link this for me as I am unable to locate it, it's extremely useful and would make a good sticky I reckon.

Thanks.

Someone wiped all the formulas, so I had to recreate it. I think this close to what it was:
