Since i have nothing to do with my gold i decided to make a contest with my guild. Making a lv1 racing thing. So i decided to give away a total of approx 40k in prices. Before making the contest i send an email to wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com to let them know i will trade large amount of gold to a few member of my guild because of this contest and it would be nice to not suspend anyone for "abuse of the economy" . Here what Blizzard have to say ...

Quote:
Thank you for your e-mail. I understand your concern completely. Unfortunately there is no way for us to guaranty that your account would not get penalized for suspicious activity as we are not proactive in nature, but reactive. However, if your account is penalized, please email us and we will go ahead and review the situation at that time.

Great ... now i need to tell all the contestant that they might be suspended if they win my contest and will need to send an email to blizzard ... wow simply wow ... can't be proactive ... its lame.

Blizzard customer support Fail again.

Considering that every time they try to block dodgy activity they simply find another way that Blizz never thought of, it's extremely hard to block things from happeneing in the first place without being totally draconian, and even if they are draconian there will still be holes in the system that can be exploited.

On your particular issue i doubt you would have any problems as their is some intelligence in the systems design. Many times i have handed out large quantities of gold to friends and guildies, the most dramatic of which was when i allowed guildies to buy shares in my gold making and i would supply them a regular income, with me mailing betwenn 500-4k gold to various different people each month.

hummmm .... i got suspended multiple time for trading large amount of gold between my 2 account (both account on the same Bnet account). I don't know why but i do explain complication :(

viewtopic.php?f=12&t=5049

Obviously program are in charge of spotting the exploitation and not human. Investigation occurs ONLY after you complain via an email ... its kinna annoying when i got a million gold to spend ... will i get suspended every time i want to make a gift ?

Anyway just QQing a little and letting know everyone that even when you send them a warning before a huge transaction, you can still get suspended :(

Well, if your notice ahead of time thing worked, then the actual bad guys would all start notifying Blizzard ahead of time and having 'contests' and 'winners'. :b

Instead of a lump sum maybe you can award 1k a day for X days kinda thing.

Consider setting up a guild bank; invite the winners or the alts to the guild temporarily and putting them in a rank able to withdraw the amount of money they won?

That can also trigger the system, and looks worse since they see that people join, take gold, then immediately leave.

How about creating a guild bank for either of them (letting them do so by theirselves), then joining in, dropping the cash and leaving?
