Hi Guys,
Some may remember me, but most will not. I was an active user in WOTLK up until the first glyphmess and I reached my 1 million Gold goal. Then I burned out and took a break. I came back to WoW in cataclysm decked out 2 characters with 372 gear and burned out again about 2 months ago. A few days ago I started listening to ahjunkies podcast and the jmtc roundtable. Unfortunatly I heard that the AH game is more or less the same with new names and not really something gr8 to buy for gold. In the end I decided not to go back to WoW until there is again something really new that excites me again. Now I wonder which alternative games there are to play? I'm looking forward a bit becoming a smuggler in SWTOR but this has to wait for a while.

Any suggestions

I'm pretty sure EVE is ALL economy. Unfortunately I only have experience with WoW and World of Kung Fu so that's about all I can say.

Yeah but for me EVE is to open to harrasment, exploitation of newbies / guildless players. Atm I'm probably looking forward for STOR. http://www.swtor.com/media/trailers/crew-skills When everyone is a jedi, I'm going to be the richest smuggler ;)
Well will see how god the game actually is going to be.

I'm kinda expecting "Titan" to become good, but then again that one doesn't exactly release tomorrow
Why anyone would want to go from one burnout to another is a complete mystery to me ;)

Hey Kantace,

I quit wow about 6 months ago, and I was also searching for something. The closest thing I can find to a "WoW' economy is SWToR. As with every economy you can't predict exactly the way it's going to go, but from what information has been shown we should be in good shape to start making money with consumables, gear modifiers, and equipment such as you can do now with WoW.

Here is a link on that sort of a subject from Ask A Jedi:
http://www.askajedi.com/2011/09/16/blas ... rporation/

AlterSWTOR's site has a great post on it, and reveals some information on the crafting system that is in place currently, and gives their suggestions on how to appropriately match skills per toon:

All in all, SWToR is shaping up to be my new go-to-game. I love the profession system WoW has, just getting tired of wow (I played 6+ years). SWToR should be a great game for me because it will similar enough in the professions for me to formulate new plans, but fresh enough for me to enjoy leveling multiple toons, and have new raiding experiences. Hope some of the info I posted helps ya.
