I quit wow about 6 months ago, and I was also searching for something. The closest thing I can find to a "WoW' economy is SWToR. As with every economy you can't predict exactly the way it's going to go, but from what information has been shown we should be in good shape to start making money with consumables, gear modifiers, and equipment such as you can do now with WoW.

*COPY & PASTE THE URL*All in all, SWToR is shaping up to be my new go-to-game. I love the profession system WoW has, just getting tired of wow (I played 6+ years). SWToR should be a great game for me because it will similar enough in the professions for me to formulate new plans, but fresh enough for me to enjoy leveling multiple toons, and have new raiding experiences.
