I'm currently sitting on a guild bank page + of pyrite ore. I keep hearing various rumors of how epic gems will be obtained (prospect pyrite/transmutes). With that in mind, should I sell off my pyrite, prospect it up or do a combination of both?

I have almost 1 bank tab now (which is what I set out to have). Unless I come across an incredible deal I won't be buying anymore, but I'm still going to sit on mine untill the epic gems are released. The new gem price for cut uncommons (if acurate) does take away some of the safety net but I personally would be crying in my cheerios if they do prospect from pyrite ore and I got cold feet and sold it.

With that said, I'm 300k liquid so even if everything in my guild back was suddenly worthless I would still be ok. You have to see where you are financially and what you could live with (potentially losing a lot or potentially not making a lot).

I've recently dabbled in a pretty weird market, which I discovered accidentally.

I was grinding mobs in Mount Hyjal on my Warlock for the sake of killing time, for an hour long before a raid. I realized during that hour I had gotten 12 green drops, ranging from level 77-78. You can probably see where I'm going with this.

A few of these items have sold (and are selling) for anywhere between 50 to 500G. Level 77 two-handed Strength weapons seem to be the most expensive ones, but any armor piece is worth AT LEAST an easy 50G. Cataclysm gear has very little "useless" stats. Every combination of stats on gear is relevant to at least a certain spec, of which there must be at least one on your server leveling in the 77-79 PvP bracket.

I find these items to be excessively profitable, and I started buying out these items when they're cheap. Has any of you had success with such things ? Or am I just lucky because I'm on a VERY high population server (Mal'Ganis, in this case) ?

This is my first time stockpiling before a patch. I have stacks of Infernos and Meta gems. When do you feel like it's the best time to sell these after the patch? Obviously if I sell them too early, I can't capitalize on the high demand, low supply. But, if I wait too long, things may balance out. What are your thoughts?

My question is simple, is a broken server economy repairable? I find myself with 2 crafting maxed professions, Alchemy & JC, to which I make no profit. Mats are ridiculous prices (100g for a stack of herbs) and the end product doesn't even sell above the mat price. I've tried posting at different times of the day, weekends/weekdays. Is it a lost cause now? Should I hop servers? Your thoughts are greatly appreciated.

I'm on a very low pop server with around 4M + 3-4 banks of stockpiles of cata compo because I can't sell enougth.
I was thinking of moving to another server high pop where some friends created a high-end raiding guild.
(they moved because they couldn't recruit)

Is there any news of guild migration price/possibilities ?
=> which amount of money.
=> transfert of 6 banktabs full of compo, (moving a guild for guild perks with empty tabs wouldn't help me much).
=> available at 4.2.

It looks like it could be ready for end of june, begining of July, like the colyseum two years ago.
So I'm betting for a release in late august as I don't see Blizzard make a release during the summer, the devs are also on holidays...

Guys - You mentioned in the last meeting a recent post updating on the 'Elementium/Obsidium shuffle'. Can you point me to it? One was in JMTC the other was in someone else's blog.

I have been doing my JC dailies consistantly have pretty much have every pattern that I need and I was wondering how many tokens I should save for when epic gems come into the game (I have 60 right now so I was thinking I should just start selling the chimera eyes). Also does anyone know much much I should pay someone to farm heavy lock boxes (for the insane title). Thx!

I constantly get all these Viagra emails. I just want to know if the prices are cheaper if I pick them up from the auction house? If so, which mod would it be best to buy them with? Should I use them or resell for profit?
