Some random person just mailed me a few random items. I've had this happen before and thought nothin of it, but it happened again. In this case it was 3 grays, and 1 white, not sure why. Can any of you think of a reason why?

Just take everything and vendor. Most probably they are 1) playing a prank on you. 2) their own bank alt has a very similar name to yours.

I've been doing this few times when I've cleared some random junk from my banks. Basically I try to sell most of them through the AH, but there are few items you really can't sell for any price and while vendoring them might be profitable, it's funnier to send them to a competitor. Most of the times I see them posting them to the AH for weeks and weeks. :D

Of course I'm losing a bit there and the competitor might actually get a sale on few of the items eventually, but the bother of trying to sell them yourself isn't worth it so at least I get some enjoyment out of them.

I am betting you could get these back if you repoted it as an accident. They have ALL logs, they could see that you normally send items to a specific alt and what your mailing patterns are. GM's can (and sometimes will) do some generous things if they are convinced something happened that should not have happened. It's at least worth giving it a shot.
