Hi I'm new to the forum and read few posts about making gold in AH ;)

Since Cata launched, I've been making quite a lot of gold from single alchemist by transmuting. Then I have many alchemists right now. I thought I was making a lot of gold until I come here and see some make as much as 20k a day.

I left wow in March/April and came back in August. The problem is that I found some of the prices went down a lot. I wanted to start JC gem cuts, but there are a lot of competitors now. I read about ore shuffles, but from what I calculated from the prices of the products in my realm, it doesn't seem like a good way to make gold, albeit all the tips from all the websites. JMTC gives good tips for ore shuffle but there is no date where the idea was posted. It just says 8:00am posted, which is not very useful for current AH.

I have a person in my guild doing elementium shuffle. But he mined the elementium ores himself for 6 hours and make 10k a day according to himself. While its tempting to buyout the elementium ores, prospect and sell for less than the 10k profit margin, it sounds very risky for me.

I'm just wondering if some people still doing ore shuffles/milling/inscription whether that is still making a lot. What happen to the products you don't sell? Do you just vendor the whole lot?

Appreciate for all your input and ideas.

It's not risky, it's just unbelievably boring.

As long as you buy your ore cheap, you'll be fine.

My problem is I don't have an enchanter to disenchant my rings but I am working on that. I can only find guildies to do it sometimes but not all the time and I don't like to give them my whole stock to do at once

When I did it I made like 30k gold but it took a number of days to sell. I guess if I put more effort into selling on the AH I could have sold them quicker.

In the mean time, have you considered leveling up some alts?

That way you'll be able to have the professions you need to do everything.

I am completely selling all my vicious plate out at 500g a piece.
Do you have a blacksmith?
I am buying ore at 40g a stack ~ 80g for 20 bars
And I am getting volatile fire for 5g each.
So at worst each piece of plate costs at most 15*4+50 = 110g and selling at 500g. All day every day. Both factions.
JC is my best profession, but Blacksmith is doing great too.

the only progressions that I heard complaining about from time to time about making money is
engineering and tailoring. And on many markets the PVP items from tailoring is making money.

Jewelcrafting will be the king of the ring for a bit, it's a continually repeating market since people are replacing gems with each piece of upgraded gear. It's also the most competitive other than the Elementium shuffle.

Are you making sure to tip your guildee who is DEing the items for you? it may cut into your profits a little bit but probably will make them more apt to step up and help you.

I would definitely look to level an enchanter before MOP because it's still going to be very beneficial if you stay with a JC as a main source of income.
